Sonia M. Wignall is a Co-Founder & CEO of Diaspora Global Foundation. An NGO focused on bridging the STEM educational Gap for children of color Globally. Out of a need to serve, support, inspire and engage children of color in STEM globally, The Diaspora Global Foundation was established. She is a former homeschool mom and the parent of a young STEM entrepreneur. Her son is a student of engineering, a former LEGO and High School Robotics team competitor, former Jr. competitive golfer, and an experienced LEGO Robotics Instructor. ​Born in Havana Cuba, she entered the United States as a young immigrant child. She understand the social and economic impact of educational gap for our children. She is committed to stand with other Stakeholders to prepare our children for global market engagement, and leadership. She is an alumni of Stonybrook University, and studied at Columbia University, Executive MBA program, in the US. She is an Entrepreneur, and a Cultural and Lifestyle Writer. She believes that supporting the education of our children globally is the best economic and social investment we can make.
