Additionally, the GDForum aims to facilitate best practice-sharing on overcoming challenges during partnership development where lessons can be learnt to better achieve their shared objectives, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Global Compact for Migration (GCM).

All interested stakeholders (International Organizations, governmental representatives, NGOs, development and humanitarian actors, and other DOs).
Six online events divided by continents between 8th and 10th December 2023.
This opportunity is open to all Diaspora Organizations however the preference will be given to GDC members first. Representatives of DOs will be selected as speakers after the GDForum application process. GDC expects a maximum of 2 keynote speakers from GDC Board and IOM representatives, closing remarks from stakeholders and 20 DOs’ representatives (2-3 min per speaker) for every continent over the six continental hearings of the GDForum.
The thematic Framework for the GDForum 2023 will be based on SDG17 (Partnerships for the Goals) and GCM19 (Create conditions for migrants and diasporas to contribute to sustainable development in all countries fully) to recognize the Diaspora Organizations as valuable Partners for SDG acceleration.
The GDForum serves as an advocacy platform for DOs to share diaspora experiences, practices, expertise, challenges and needs. It also facilitates networking opportunities among DOs and other stakeholders and, as a result, opens the doors for potential partnerships, collaborations and joint initiatives. As a catalyst, GDForum diaspora visibility, builds solidarity by embracing diversity, and amplifies diaspora voices through the global representation of DOs and the support of diaspora partners, stakeholders and donors.
