Overview

The GDC will host the 3rd Annual
Humanitarian Meeting with the support
of IOM, DEMAC, and key stakeholders to summarize its collaborative efforts with
DOs on diaspora engagement in
humanitarian assistance in 2023.

GOAL

The primary goal of the meeting is to share with all stakeholders, including DOs, the summary of the activities held by GDC over the past year with humanitarian Diaspora Organizations. This year, the Hub will present its strategic plan in response to DOs’ fundamental priority needs (Coordination, Capacity Building, Fundraising, and Advocacy), enabling GDC to deliver its 3S strategy (Synergize, Systemize, and Sustain) in the humanitarian field and addressing pressing humanitarian challenges.

In addition to the meeting in the upcoming GDWeek2023, the GDC, in collaboration with IOM and DEMAC, as a start of the three-party cooperation, will be introducing the capacity-building opportunities based on DEMAC’s programmes and discuss the ways and formats of how the Humanitarian Hub entry training can be developed, popularized and standardized in response to the needs and preferences of diaspora organizations in humanitarian assistance.
