The Global Diaspora Week is a week of global and local activities for and by Diaspora Organizations across six continents. The GDAssembly holds significant importance ever since its inception as the concluding day of the GDWeek. It serves as a gathering for leaders of diaspora organizations, international development and governmental sectors, and other diaspora stakeholders.

High-level officials from diaspora organizations, international organizations, governmental institutions, diaspora supporting organizations and research centers, other diaspora stakeholders and the Private and Third sectors.

14th December 2023 - UTC/GMT: 2pm – 3.30pm

The primary goal of GDAssembly is to provide a platform for DOs and diaspora sector supporters to engage in high-level dialogue, share feedback from the GDWeek, and collectively address the challenges and opportunities that diaspora communities are facing worldwide. GDAssembly encourages participants to reflect on the achievements and lessons learned, while also setting strategic goals and action plans to further the global diaspora organization sector, and make recommendations on subjects pertaining to diaspora and their supporting communities.
