Shaher Abdullateef

Based between Turkey, Germany, and northwest Syria, Dr Abdullateef is an independent researcher and environmental activist who advocates for food security and sustainable development in Syria. He contributed to and led several studies and development projects in collaboration with local and international institutions such as Cara, and Kent, Cambridge, and Sussex Universities on different topics related to education, food security, climate change, and biodiversity. He Co-founded the NGO, Syrian Academic Expertise, a network of Syrian academics and experts in Syria and the diaspora, aiming to contribute to improving people's life, livelihoods, and capacity for development and peacebuilding.
