Johanna Pitman

Johanna Pitman is the CEO of Advance, the Global Australian Network. Prior to Advance, Johanna worked across economic development, trade and public policy, holding senior roles in Federal and State governments in Australia, the UK and the US. In non-government roles, Johanna ran a startup accelerator focused on urban challenges, and was the Deputy CEO for the Committee for Sydney, leading advocacy for Sydney as a global talent hub. Johanna holds a Masters in Regional Studies (East Asia) from Harvard University, and speaks Japanese and Korean. She is an active volunteer in the areas of suicide prevention and loneliness.
