Dejan Keserović

Mr Keserović has been a the Head of the Governing Bodies Secretariat as of August 2019 and Senior Regional Advisor for Europe and Central Asia from July 2022. Previous IOM positions of Mr Keserović include Sub-Regional Coordinator for Central Asia and Chief of the Mission in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, Chief of Mission in Belarus, as well as Programme Manager in Ukraine and on Western Balkan. Prior IOM Mr Keserović was Deputy Commissioner for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia. Before that, he was the Programme Coordinator of Catholic Relief Services, assisting Refugees and IDPs in ex Yugoslavia and before that, he worked for the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation as a Coordinator of the Network of Humanitarian Legal Offices assisting refugees and IDPs in ex Yugoslavia and prior that he was Attorney at Law in Belgrade, Republic of Serbia. Mr Keserović has a Master’s Degree in Forced Migration Studies from Oxford University and Master's Degree in Human Rights from Belgrade University and 27 years of working migration management-related experience.
