Maureen Duru

Maureen Duru is the founder of the Food Bridge, a Belgian non - profit diaspora led organization, working mainly on agrofood entrepreneurship, food heritage, food security, research and education. She is also a researcher at the Interdisciplinary Historical Food Studies of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel Belgium. Her research interest focuses on diasporas, food and identity. Ms Duru is currently the vice president of Sankaa vzw, a federation of over 80 diaspora organizations funded by the Flemish government.
